Alumni stories

Dear Alumni!

To commemorate 20 years of US - Ukrainian cooperation, the Alumni Resource Center, with support from the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy, is preparing a compendium of "successes".  We are looking for stories from Alumni of US Government Sponsored Programs that show how Alumni put their US experience to practice in Ukraine.

Success can be various:

  • organizing your community to take on an issue or issues (park cleaning, fundraising for orphans, helping develop local laws or policies);
  • implementing new teaching methods or after-school activities or other innovative solutions brought to schools, universities;
  • group activities where alumni came together to change something in their school, community or a specific sector;
  • maybe you formed your own NGO that advocates specific issues?;
  • training others in methodologies/ideas/skills gained in the US;
  • an annual event or series of events that you instituted or made happen;
  • anything that shows that you made a difference!

These success will be published on the ARC web-site (please note that all stories will edited to fit a developed format).  Select stories will also be chosen for inclusion in an album.

Stories may be submitted in Ukrainian, Russian or English.  To submit your story, please complete the form below, including a brief statement (no more than 150 words - see example below) about your success to arc.kyiv@gmail.com.  You should include a photo that represents the success if and when possible (for example - a community cleaning up a park or you teaching your class). You may download the form here!
